Songs of the Season, Advent Week 2 | Luke 1:26-56

Our 2022 Advent series focuses on the original “sounds of the season.” We start off with “The Cry of Adoption” from Galatians 4, which connects Jesus’s birth and incarnation with one of its purposes—the adoption of God’s children through the gift of the Spirit. And then we look at the original sounds of that first Christmas season: the declarations of praise from Mary, Zechariah, the angels, and Simeon. And in so doing, we find our place in the greatest story of the ages: Christ has come and is coming again!
