The Most Powerful Union in the World

This week, we come to a pivot within the book of Colossians. And that pivot presents us with this question: How do we biblically and thoughtfully move out from the gospel of grace (as laid out in the first two chapters of Colossians), to living by grace, which requires obedience to the Lord who saved us (as laid out in the last two chapters of Colossians)? This is a crucial question, because our answer can lead us either into the very legalism that Paul has warned against, or into license, which ignores the commands of Scripture altogether. Neither is proper, both dishonor Jesus. How we engage with the commands from God through Paul, and how we relate to all the commands of the NT as we follow Jesus, matters. Join us as we discover that union with Christ is the key to following Christ.
